My Prayer For Today
You may have noticed that there is another name next to mine on the front of My Prayer For Today. Eunice Farnsworth is my Nan, who passed away a few years ago. She was a very special lady whom I treasured closely. Her faith was always important to her, and she always reminded us how important prayer was.
Nan wrote this poem called 'Prayer' the day her husband of 64 years went to hospital. Pa had been sick for a few years, and Nan knew God was calling him home. The poem was Nan's prayer acknowledging that she knew God was there in her weakness and how He heard her prayers. She prayed for strength to help her through that day.
Both my Nan and Pa have passed over the last few years, and this poem has become something that my family treasures. It's a beautiful reminder of the power of prayer and the strength it can bring in times of need.
